Too Hot to Shop

So it was the first time in a long, and we mean LONG, time that it was too hot to shop for yarn. Two Black Sheep, along with Betty and Veronica (Ava's young 'uns), went into a yarn shop in search of some different shades of Galway for Ava's miter square blanket. She wasn't too happy with the reds and yellows at the yarn shop in her neck of the woods so she decided to look in Lola's town. Talk about being very disappointed. Not only was the LYS empty, but the folks working there said that all the Galway was at their other shop. Seriously? You stock the whole Encore line, but Galway is only sold at the other place. Maybe it was to steer people to a new outpost, but when the heat is pushing 90+ degrees, the last thing that Two Black Sheep wanted to think of was driving any place that wasn't selling dirty martinis or beer. Besides, Betty and Veronica can't drive on their own yet, so that wouldn't have worked. Say hello to Gus! He's being shy and coy.

Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome

Okay, so after reading countless blogs, we're taking the plunge. Welcome to Two Black Sheep written by Lola and Ava, two sisters who share more than a little passion for knitting and adult beverages. We've been knitting for the past 15 odd years, but only seriously for the last three. We come from a long line of crafty (always had great hand sewn clothes thanks to Mom) and thrifty (nothing is too cheap for us) women. It will take us a while to get it up and running, but we can't wait. Just don't tell the family.
